Translate easy into something specific
Easy hair means different things to different people. You might want fewer steps when you style, fewer changes at the root to think about, or a shape that keeps the front away from your face. Before contacting ROVÉ, name the part of your current routine you would most like to change. Then name the part you enjoy and want to keep. These two observations make a useful brief. They allow the team to discuss a tradeoff without assuming that every guest means the same thing by low maintenance.
Separate roots from tone
Think about what catches your attention first when you look at your color. Is it the root, the shade of the brighter pieces, or the amount of contrast? Those observations lead to different questions. You can like the placement of your lightness while wanting to discuss a change in tone. A gloss may be considered for a tonal refresh, while adding new lightness is a separate discussion. Ask which part of the color the recommended appointment would address, and which areas the team would leave in place.
Account for the way you style
Describe an ordinary day with your hair rather than only the occasions when you make the most effort. Include your usual part, whether you tie it back, and the tools you reach for. If you are considering a new cut, ask how the proposed shape relates to those habits. If you are considering a smoothing service, ask about the actual treatment and its care instructions. You are gathering the details needed to choose, rather than assuming that a service name guarantees a particular daily experience.
Consider additions before committing
When discussing extensions or an additional treatment, ask the team to explain the complete care plan. For extensions, that conversation should include the proposed method, the blend, care at home, follow-up, and removal. For a treatment, ask what concern it is intended to address and what instructions apply afterward. Explain which steps you are comfortable adding and which are unlikely to fit your routine. The most useful question is often simple: what would I need to do differently to care for this particular service?
Create a short handover for yourself
Before the visit ends, ask the team to help you identify what to watch for and what to say when you next contact the salon. It could be a concern about tone, a request to revisit the face frame, or a question about the care instructions you received. Keep the description specific enough to act on. You do not need to remember every technical term used during the appointment. Knowing the purpose of the service, the care steps, and your own priority gives the next conversation a clear starting point.
Make your priorities specific
- Finish this sentence: the part of my routine I most want to simplify is…
- Choose what matters most between keeping length, changing tone, adding volume, and controlling shape.
- Tell our team how often you can return and how much daily styling feels realistic.
- Ask which care steps are essential for the agreed service and which are optional.
